My Updates

I came here with Baby and Catty.

Ambiance here was pretty good.

The place was crowded with people.

Foods were good.

It’s a restaurant that serves American food.

01. Arrived at 8pm. 3 of us waited about 20 minutes for a table. Full-house madness.

02. The author of this blog was viewing the menu. I think the menu has less than 100 items.

03. Let me present, Miss Catty.

We waited for our drinks for like 30 minutes. Don’t even mention the food. We thought the foods were in the making in USA and soon DHL to us.
So, finally…

04. Potato salad (RM3.50) as appetizer. I love it. If it cooler, I love more.

05. Fire ball spaghetti (RM8.90) – Actually I’m unsure the name of this dish. But I’m very sure it tastes sucks. Imagine, Prego sauce mix with chilli sauce. Nothing is special with the 5 balls. They’re just ordinary fish-balls.

Here come the foremost dishes of the kitchen.

B.U.R.G.E.R.

Their burger meats are not those ordinary ramly burger meats. But they’re using the real huge chicken/beef meat that as large as my hand palm. So, that’s why it called American restaurant.

06. Obama burger (RM8.90) – I think they named it Obama because it’s black pepper sauce. Baby ordered this.

07. Vegas full house (RM11.50) – My personal favorite. Got hams, beef bacons, two chicken burger meats, eggs, cheese, onion rings, vegetables, chicken sliced meats. This one can eat till puke.

Tiramisu Coffee was tasteless. Ice Mochachino was slightly better than Tiramisu Coffee because it’s came with a scoop of ice cream – RM4.20 each glass.
Their drinks failed us big time. So don’t need to intro them much.

08. I end this post with a picture of the lovely couple

Suddenly feel that Kampar finally has good food.

The Sunday (17/01/10) before last Sunday, I asked Baby to come over my place as I intended to cook for him.
And when he arrived at early afternoon, I felt so lazy to cook. lol
After wasting an hour deciding to cook or not, finally I still cook for him because I promised him. :D
Before that, I asked him bring me to Tesco to buy some ingredients.

01. Before proceed to my post, I want to show my beautiful cutting board I got from Tesco :P
Nice or not??

02. This is the chef posing in front of camera wtf lol

03. He is the white rat for my food :D :D

04. Tadaaa! He demanded for more rice. *I noted down for next time*

05. Potatoes with porks. Potato more than pork, because I like potato :D

06. Di Huang vege. I know he likes garlic. So I put more garlic.

I’m glad that he likes my cookery and especially the potatoes with pork. He even demand for more rice, just for that dish.

Hrm… What shall cook for him next time?

Joke of the day

January 25, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized | 10 Comments

Yesterday, mom and I went to Tesco at Rawang. I was the one who driving. It was a cooling night so we decided to roll down the window a little instead of turning on the air-cond.

While on the way back… Driving at the speed of 60 Km/h…

Me: Hrm… I smell some durian.
Mom: Har? Where got durian??
Me: I dunno. I just smell it.
Mom: Just now I burp ma… (Earlier my mom eaten some durians)
Me: OMG! Dengzz!!

I quickly exhale the air at the window that I inhaled earlier.
Then my mom laughs evilly.

Imagine, the person beside you, burps with a strong scent without your realization and you thought yourself smell something nice.

So that day (last Saturday), my stomach started to growl after I settled with my stuff.
Thus, I cooked. With limited ingredients, I cooked my own version of nasi tomato aka tomato rice.

01. Mom told me, a new wok like this must first boil water with it. I boiled it more than half an hour.

So first of all, tomato rice must have rice right? But without rice cooker, how to cook rice??

02. My mom taught me; steam it.

Please bear with my Photochopping skills. Pictures may look awful.

Ingredients: 3 tomatoes (depends on the tomato size), 2 eggs, 1 bowl of rice.
I think 3 tomatoes are not enough. I should have put 4 tomatoes.

Guidelines:

  1. Place the tomatoes in hot boiling water until its skin tear up a little. Then take them out and rip off the skins. Cut them into half and remove the seeds.
  2. Beat the eggs, of course.
  3. Pre-heat the wok and put some oil.
  4. Pour the beaten eggs and the tomatoes in. While cooking them, smash the tomatoes with the wok spoon.
  5. Then put in the rice and stir stir stir or fry fry fry.
  6. And add a tablespoon of soy sauce. If you like to make them tastier saltier, add tiny bit of salt. Stir a little and done!

03. Despite its unpleasant look, it tastes really good!

Two pictures below were taken on second attempt.

04. Picture of guideline (d).

05. Picture of guideline (e).

There goes my lunch of the day. It was good and all. I didn’t lao sai (diarrhea) after eating it.
Bravo to myself. :P  I will let my bf try this one day, with extra tomatoes. Hehe.

Steamboat gathering

January 19, 2010 | Category: Eat, Friends, Kampar's Home, Weekend | 11 Comments

with Foundation mates, fellow of TB5.

It was held on last Saturday night at 8pm. We went to

Mango Steamboat & Bistro Café

In total 10 of us, we used 2 tables and 3 stoves. 2 stoves for soups (herbs & tomyam) and 1 stove for grill pan.

It’s raining day and we chose to sit outside. I didn’t capture much photos as I was damn hungry, so I eat first :D

We were mad noisy. Every table, uncle & auntie, waiter & waitress keeps looking at us with the kind of eyes like, “Where does this bunch of monkeys out from?”, “These people never eat steamboat before is it?” as we’re behaving like people who just came out from uber ulu area.

They like to play masak-masak :P

01. You see how excited she was :P

02. The grill sifu.  She likes to play cook with the grill pan so much. Haha. But the grilled-chicken by her was really nice! :P

03. Then her bf came to give his helping hand. Seeing her being so busy, the bf fed her food. Sweeeeet.

04. They cook, we eat :D

05. I guess they cook too slow, hence the extras come and help

06. Rojak

07. The grill-sifu wannabe. With enthusiasm, he wanted to fry an egg…

08. …and this was the end product 8O Some of us dare not to try it. lol

09. Last but not least, a group picture ^^ It was so windy until I look so stupid with the hair. >_<

That day, halfway we steamboat-ing & grill-ing, out of sudden the sky cried and strong wind blew.
Khai Ling and I were almost being blown away as when the wind blew, our legs were actually bended a little. Oh yes, we both were standing at that time.
The canopy tent which we’re under it was NEARLY blown away. Four guys were actually stood at each of the legs of the canopy tent.
It terrified us.

However, we still stand strong and continue with our masak-masak session. lol

At 11pm plus, some already leave us. Left 6 of us at finishing.
And the 6 of us actually continue for 2nd round.
We don’t want to waste our RM18 per head. Such cheopo right? Hehe.

Next time, I think the boss will shoo us away… So noisy and we’re such big eaters. :P

Today is the 17th day of twenty-ten and I’m already in Kampar for the 3rd day.

My mom left yesterday morning after breakfast with me as she has works to do.

I really wish I could follow her back to home  But I knew, I couldn’t. *wipe tears*

I kind of having homesick nowadays. I was not before this. Guess that my relation with mom is getting better as days come. :)

After her leaving, I washed clothes and unpacked my stuff which I brought from Rawang.

This was just part of it.

Don’t be shocked, I have lots to take, after 1 month plus away from hostel room.

Before back to Kampar, we went to Ipoh first. She wants to go Kinta City to change her stuff then I wanted to go Menglembu to have luk-luk.

First stop at Ipoh famous chicken rice, Bak Gong Restaurant, for our brunch.

Not bad lor. I like the pickles very very much because it’s very very nice, for me… Wait, ‘a zat’ (cantonese) is it a kind of pickle?

Inside the restaurant was packed and some were lining up for take away.

Their business is really good. It’s located near old Foo San Dim Sum Restaurant, Lou Wong Chicken & Beansprouts, Google it if you want to know more.

Menglembu market was the next stop after brunch and Kinta City.

After luk luk session, it’s time to back dead town. :(

Tesco was after dinner. Went to buy a small wok, sugar, salt, oil, ingredients and etc that to do with basic cooking. Thanks to my mom because she taught me how to choose fresh vegetables and meats.

Before this, if I wanted to cook, I will ask my mom to buy. That’s why I don’t know how to choose fresh vege & meat. Usually she doesn’t let me cook because of this and that. But I’ll curi-curi cook when she’s not at home. :P

Westlake was quite silence as not many students back yet, kind of creepy at the same time. I want to go home so badly…

Now, Westlake is flooded with students and cars. Students nowadays are richer than in earlier times.

And I’m one of the earlier times one.

Shit, I made myself sounds so old wtf.

This mean my holy days are coming to its end. Can time don’t tick so fast?
I will be back to dead town, Kampar, in few hours time. My mom will fetch me back this time. But I’m the one who driving.

Well, this time I’ll be bringing cooking utensils along to Kampar as I’ll be cooking with my housemate and friend for dinner! Before this, Annie and I had trouble cooking as our utensils were not complete.
But now, I’ll bring all those chef needed stuff :D We’ll try to be real chef there. No worries, we won’t burn down the house wtf.

Yay! Say “NO” to MSG aka Ajinamoto. Even though lunch and breakfast still with MSG, lol. But at least dinner not ;)
I’m having freaking 7 subjects in Semester 3 and come to think of it, I feel like, I will stress till die.

Have a look on my timetable; Tuesday and Thursday are the worst day.

Anyway, this holiday what I did most were being mom’s driver (as always whenever I came home), eat, sleep and shop. I feel so lifeless indeed. But also feel lucky at the same time because not everyone can have such enjoyment. That’s explained how I gained weight. T__T

I used a sum of money in this holiday. As earlier I thought during holiday I can save some $$ to shop for CNY or travel somewhere with Baby and friends. But plan failed obviously.

On the NY day, I went to a shop to take my shoe which I had put an order few days earlier.

Ilikethisshoeverymuch.

Last Tuesday, as usual I will drive my mom to her company’s main office to do her settlement and we headed to Sg. Wang for some shopping after that.
Mom bought a high heel and I bought this uber hot red pant from Voir.

RM34.95 after 50% off.

Still manage to find on Sales stuff even though Y.E.S. has ended. :P

I shall end this post with a pict of me. xD

I still have plenty of time. I think I shall go double-check my stuff and make sure I didn’t miss bring anything.
Till next time.

My mom doesn’t let me to attend. I got the invitation from Nuffnang, for the first time.
But unfortunately I couldn’t make myself available for the event.
Cause mom doesn’t allow me to drive her car at night and to some where far.

Anyway, I have this little thing to share.

I received an email from Nuffnang saying that they revoke my invitation for Astro B.yond Bloggers Night.
And the funny thing was, I did NOT receive any invitation email from them either in my inbox or junk-box.

And Suresh suggested me to call up office. But I can’t get thru them until about 5pm of the day.
I told Nuffie about the email thing then she said invitation email has sent out few days ago.
She asked for my email address and checked on that.
I reassured her that I double-checked my mail and I didn’t receive their invitation.
Then she asked me whether want join or not but I refused it. Sigh~ :(

Then I asked her, whether it is true if someone never reply confirmation email to Nuffnang he/she will be blacklisted?
“Not really,” she answered.

I did write to Helpdesk before I call them. But to get rid of waiting like a mad person, I’ve chose make a call to them. The email they’ll mostly reply you in 24 hours. So, if you’re the one with less patience skill, it’s better to call up them.

Anyhow, Nuffnang is still great!

Frankly, I really don’t know what my New Year resolutions are.
It’s like, every year has been the same. FYI, I never set any NY resolution before.
That’s probably explained why I have zero achievement up till now.

This year, I will try to name a few.

1. Control my emotion/temper – I can easily throw tantrum to anyone. Now I have to learn how to endure/yan/ren/bertahan.

2. Blog more often – Well, one of my hobbies is blogging.

3. Achieve better CGPA – My results have been so shit.

4. Friendship – Remain and build bigger friends circle. I don’t want to be friendless.

5. Relationship – Lesser argument with him, love more. Hope things will get better each day :)

6. Learn make upfml. I don’t know how to make up. I think as a girl should learn at least basics. However, my bf always disapproves me. Aiyo!

7. Go vacation/travel – I want a vacation to beachside. Or travel to any state IN Malaysia. I can’t afford the expenditure to go overseas. :( And thus,

8. Earn/Save more money – How I wish money would drop from the skies.

9. Stay healthy, be happy – be it physically or mentally. :) Health is wealth :)

That’s it. I can’t think of any other resolution already.

Wrapping up my 2009

January 6, 2010 | Category: Thought, ♥Me♥Myself♥ | 11 Comments

***UPDATED***

I just recall that I did go to Kuala Kurau for trip with my foundation friends! How could I miss this!! LoL
And I miss the trip very much.

***

It’s the year that was rather dull for me.
Or I should say I’m an uninteresting human after all.

Well, I have nothing much to highlight for my 2009.
No event, no party, no travel, no invite.
How pathetic.

Well, let me squeeze my brain to think of something to write for this post.

It was in the month of July on the date of 26th.
I had the biggest surprise in my life. (I was totally unexpected)
It was from him and friends.
Although it was just a short period of time, but at that particular time I was really delighted.

He purposely postpones his internship date to later for my b’day.
(Oh well, I dunno how true is it, but as long it’s for me) :P

Thanks to all who contribute/attend for my b’day.

Shifted to a new place and I love my new room. ;) It’s like finally, I have my OWN room.

As for my relationship with him, it’s been quite a bumpy ride. Yet, we managed to go through all the obstacles we had.

Last but not least, my friendship fortune got better in the last quarter-year.

I think my summary for my 2009 is pretty short!
